Unfortunatley as you can see step 6 automatically exits without leaving anything selected.

The above actually lists the steps on HOW to run the filter command, not just telling you to run it. A selection set of all items in my drawing seems to have been created,but nothing is highlighted. That sounds great, but again HOW do I go about using the FILTER & QSELECT commands? What are the steps, is it something like this?Ģ. Again, I know what commands to run but HOW do I go though the proper steps to get this to work. Clicking my layer off button seems to cancel my selection set any ways then prompts me to select a layer to be turned off. What command is the bulb icon supposed to run, Layer off?Įven if I choose the qselect to exclude from new selection set it still selects everything in my drawing. I have two similar icons though one is for "hardware acceleration on" and the other is for "replace z value with currentl elevation". My MEP 2012 doesn't have a light bulb icon in the lower right either. This selects ALL objects in my drawing, not just the color I need. Properties are color=blue (or whatever one I need), and apply to include in the selection set (append to current is checked). I've tried setting quick select to the entire drawing, multiple types.

Exaxtly HOW do I go about using the FILTER & QSELECT commands? What are the steps I need to take? No offense but I've seen the same reply in countless other posts. I need to get all items turned off except for the ones that have a specific color (including the blocks). Can anyone go into further detail than just sayint to try a command or two? What are the actual steps needed to get this to work?įYI, Just assume items (lines,text and blocks) are drawn on layer 0 with individual color overrides. The is simply no real how to process posted anywhere. I'm sure one of thes steps should work but that I'm probably not following the correct steps to isolate everything. All other posts I've looked at are esentially the same stuff being repeated or a not descriptive enough to be helpfull.

The lisp command SSX doesn't appear to work either. Trying to use properties will not isolate those colors, it will change all selected items to what ever color you choose. I've tried filter but changing the filter to color, adding that color, then applying it still filters out everything except for one random item that isn't even the correct color. I've tried qselect but can't get it to append or exclude selected items from a current selection set. How do you isolate all drawings objects by color? OK, I know this topic has many posts with many, many replies but apparently it is difficult to get one with a straight forward how to answer.
